Basic Combo - Jab-Cross-Hook-Roundhouse

Two basic variations of the jab, cross, hook, roundhouse combo to work on the bag or with a partner in your training.

  • Stationary/solid-base — stand in place and pivot through each attack, utilizing all the rotational muscles of your body to generate the maximum possible power and damage with each strike.

  • Hop-out — after the jab-cross, hop off of the back foot in the direction your kick will go, simultaneously throwing a hook to raise your opponent’s gloves and divert their attention from their ribs, then from your new position throw a nice rear-leg Thai roundhouse.

Both these ways to execute this combo have their place, and using both is a great way to deceive your opponent's sense of your timing and attack sequences.
